Eine
der wichtigsten Funktionen unserer Haut besteht darin, den
Feuchtigkeitshaushalt im Gleichgewicht zu halten. Der
Feuchtigkeitsgehalt der Haut wird vor allem durch die ständigen
täglichen Schwankungen der
Umgebungstemperatur beeinflusst, also beim Wechsel von warmer in
kalte Luft und umgekehrt, besonders auch beim Sonnenbaden, während
dessen durch die Sonneneinstrahlung eine hohe Temperatur auf der
Hautoberfläche entstehen kann.
Feuchtigkeitspflege
reicht daher von "leicht" bis "intensiv", je
nachdem welche täglichen und jahreszeitlichen Bedürfnisse der Haut
erfüllt werden müssen.

MOISTURIZING
One
of the most important functions of our skin is the ability
to keep in balance the metabolism of moisture. The quantitiy
of moisture in our skin is mainly influenced by the daily
fluctuations of environmental temperature, namely when
changing from warmth to chill and vice versa, or when the
skin is exposed ti sunlight where very high temperature
levels can emerge on the skin´s surface becuase of the
sun´s radiation.
Moisturizing,
therefore, can be classified as ranging from "light"
to "intensive" according to the daily and
saisonable needs that have to be fulfilled for the skin.

Inhaltsstoffe in den gängigen kosmetischen Produkten - sowohl aus
dem Kaufhaus, als auch leider aus der Apotheke, egal wie hoch der
Preis sein mag - sind alles andere als unproblematisch. Oft
nehmen sie dem Körper wichtige Funktionen ab - Aufgaben, die er
eigentlich aus eigener Kraft erfüllen kann und soll. Passiert dies
über einen längeren Zeitraum hinweg, kann es sein, dass er sie
verlernt!

autonomously. If this happens over a longer period of time
the skin will unlearn these abilities! |

Typische
Beispiele für dieses Verlernen sind
"feuchtigkeitsspendende" Hautcremes, die fast ausschließlich
aus petrochemischen Füllstoffen bestehen wie Paraffinum
liquidum, Paraffinöl (Stoffe, die auch in Benzin, Autoschmiermittel
und Petroleum enthalten sind) oder Silikon und Silikonöl. Im Grunde
genommen versiegeln solche Füllstoffe die Haut, holen sogar die
Feuchtigkeit heraus und unterbinden den Hautstoffwechsel.

Typical
examples for this effect of "unlearning" are the
so called "moisturizing" cremes which consist
almost to 100 % of petrochemical extenders like paraffinum
liquidum, paraffin oil (substances that are also abundand in
gasoline, lubricants in car industry, and petroleum), or
silicone and silicone oil. In principle, extending stuff
like that does nothing more than seal the skin, reduce
moistureness and prevent the normal metabolism of the skin. |

Das
Paradoxe kommt zum Schluss: Wird die Creme abgesetzt, ist die Haut
trockener als zuvor - man hat den Eindruck, die Haut sei
richtiggehend süchtig nach der Creme. Den gleichen Effekt kennt
jeder, der regelmäßig einen "feuchtigkeitsspendenden"
Lippenstift verwendet. Hört man damit auf, fühlen sich die Lippen
trockener an denn je.

schlechte Marketingstrategie, oder?

The
paradoxon comes in the end: When you stop using this creme,
the skin is even dryer than before - it seams as if the skin
has become addicted to the creme. Maybe you know this effect
when you are a frequent user of "moisturizing"
lipsticks. When stopping to use it, the lips feel more dry and
uncomfortable than before.
Not
a bad marketing strategy, isn´t it?

clean glass of water, put in some drops of your product and
stir. A product of good quality should dissolve into the water
forming a milky liquid - products containing mineral oil
components will, in contrast, look like a pot of soup with (brown)
noodles ..............
